Jude's Birthday Scavenger Hunt Video

Jude's main present was a new bike. It came already put together so wrapping it was not an option. We decided to hide it in the house and send him on a scavenger hunt with clues. It was so much fun and the kids loved it!

Jude is 4!

Jude Michael is 4!  In someways it is hard to believe but in other ways not so much.  He does everything with Eli so in many ways he seems older.  He is absolutely the funniest little guy I have ever met.  He is constantly making us laugh.  He is also quite sensitive as well.  I love seeing the personality he is growing into.  We sure do love our Jude!
We celebrated his birthday over the weekend with our families.  Jude has wanted a Ninja Turtle birthday party ever since Eli had his in January so it was pretty easy throwing it together.  I still had the decorations I had made for Eli's party and this time there were Ninja Turtle party supplies to go with it.  He had an absolute blast at his party!

2nd cousin Addyson spent the night.
Today we celebrated Jude's actual birthday!  He is officially 4 year old!  We had doughnuts for breakfast, a birthday tradition.  Then after all the daycare kids left we let him open his presents and had special cupcakes to celebrate!

Our Big Kindergartener!

How is it possible that Eli is going to kindergarten already?  The past 5 1/2 years have gone by way too fast and I am not ready to let him go.  Luckily for me he is very ready and very excited so that helps me.  It also helps that his teacher is someone I know from when I did my student teaching and I know that she is not only an awesome teacher but she also has the kindest heart.  I am so excited that he is in her class!  It definitely eases my mind a little. :-)
Grandma came over in the morning to help with the daycare kids so that Mike and I could both take Eli to his first day of kindergarten.  Eli was so excited and led us right to his class. (he knew right where to go since we had been there the night before)  He looked like such a big boy sitting at his desk getting right to work.  I wasn't sure how I would do leaving him there but I held it together.  Of course getting the van stuck in the mud at the school was a good way of distracting me.
Eli came home from school with the biggest smile and said he had so much fun!  He is already ready to go back tomorrow!
